Invicta 6981 Description

The Invicta 6981 Men’s Pro Diver Collection chronograph watch has a solid stainless steel back cover with a yellow gold plated steel and black polyurethane rubber strap which is secured by a simple stainless steel pin buckle clasp. The yellow gold plated case contributes to the great looks of the Invicta 6981 especially with the contrasting black dial face.
The stainless steel rotating bezel is unidirectional with 10-seconds interval digits and 5-seconds markers inscribed on it. The main crown and function buttons are push/pull types.
The mineral crystal is to provide some scratch resistance to the watch face.
The hands are white accented, gold toned, sword shaped skeleton type,luminous against the dark face background for better viewing in dark environments.
The face sports a unique date display for your calendar function. The chronograph function measures time in 60 second,1/10th second and 30 minutes intervals. The hours are represented by fair sized light coloured dots on the dial face on top of a minutes/seconds scale.

Invicta 6981 Chronograph watch Review

In order to set the date and time you have to unscrew the crown (counterclockwise), pull it out to the adjustment position, make your adjustments, push it back in and screw the crown back in tightly. This is important to know to protect your manufacturer warranty. This information might not be clear in the manual.

The date is in the four o’clock position, out of the way of the sub dials. The chronograph sub dials in the center of the face ensure each function is easily and seperately visible. The hands are clearly set to enhance this and prevent any confusion in distinguishing any feature. I like the positioning of the sub dials on the face as it does not look cluttered with the skeleton shaped hands and the position of the calendar wheel.

Make sure all the screws holding the strap are tight as this can be an issue. Some persons have complained of poor after-sale support from the manufacturer.
Although the Invicta 6981 looks big, it is just slightly heavy and the strap is wide but fits comfortably well for up to medium sized hands. They strap comes with about 13 holes so you can fit your size.
